Wine NotesDetails
Perfect for spring and summer sipping, Ferrari-Carano introduces a
brand-new wine for the Rosé lover -- our 2009 Rosato di Sangiovese
from Dry Creek Valley. This 100% Sangiovese wine has light, crisp
aromas of raspberry, strawberry and watermelon with spicy berry
elements on the palate, finishing off with an off-dry, full
roundness. Vibrant acidity and floral notes are accentuated when
you serve and enjoy this wine chilled.
Vintage Notes
Fruit arrived with larger yields this year, which was surprising
because of low rainfall amounts during the spring and very mild
weather throughout the growing season. The happy result was
deliciously flavored and well-balanced Sangiovese grapes.
Sangiovese is a varietal that enjoys the heat, but requires shade
on intense summer days. The east-facing slope where these grapes
come from has early morning sun exposure, yet relief from the
afternoon sun. This protects the grape clusters from becoming
over-ripe and losing their vibrant acidity.
Winemakers Notes
The hand-harvested grapes are hand-sorted at the winery and then
gravity fed into tanks for 48 hours of cold soaking. The juice is
then drained to another stainless steel tank for fermenting at 74
degrees. This chilly fermentation is slow, thereby preserving the
bright, delicate floral and berry fruit nuances of this wine.

Our Rosato di Sangiovese pairs well with baked, creamy cheeses,
smoked salmon or trout, spicy/tart combinations, ham, curry dishes,

Due to legal
restrictions on shipments of wine and other alcoholic beverages, we
are currently only shipping wine to the following states : AK*, CA,
CO, DC, FL, GA, HI, IA, ID, IL, KS, ME, MI, MN, MO, NC, ND,
NE, NH, NM, NV, NY, OR, SC, TN*, TX, VA, VT, WA, WI, WV, and
WY.
At this time
we are only able to ship to certain areas within TN and AK.
To verify that you are in a shippable area in either of these
states please call the tasting room at 1-800-831-0381 and ask for
Sasha Cave at ext: 204.
We cannot
ship 375ml bottles of wine into the state of Maine and we cannot
ship 5 liter bottles into the state of
Florida.
At this
time, we do not ship any online store products outside the United
States. Applicable sales tax will be added to your order at check
out, and may include taxation on freight where
applicable.
We only ship
on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. We do not ship UPS 3 Day
Select on Wednesdays. Orders received after 12:00 p.m. on
Wednesdays will be processed and shipped the following Monday
regardless of the shipping method chosen with the exception of UPS
Next Day Air. UPS Next Day Air orders will be shipped Mon, Tue,
Wed, and Thurs. UPS 3 Day Select orders placed on Wednesdays before
12:00 p.m. will also be processed and shipped the following
Monday.
An adult
signature (someone over 21 years of age) is required on every wine
shipment. In our experience you are most likely to receive your
shipment sooner if an adult is available to sign for shipments at
the "Ship To" address during regular business hours. For this
reason, we recommend using a business address as your "Ship To"
address. We cannot ship to P.O. boxes or businesses with alcohol
beverage licenses. UPS ground shipping is only offered seasonally.
This is to protect your wine shipment from harmful temperature
exposure while traveling by truck across the United States in hot
or cold weather months. For this reason, the winery recommends
shipping 2 or 3 day air to better ensure the quality of your wine
