A delicious wine, concentrated fruit continues on the palate complemented by butterscotch and sweet oak, while a long and lingering finish is highlighted by smooth and silky tannins. Vintage Notes From our Estate Vineyard in Dry Creek Valley, the Zinfandel grapes are dry farmed in a complex, riverside clay loam soil that is rocky and deep, adding impressive depth and concentration of flavor intensity to the wine. A late March warming trend made for perfect bud break and a quick start to the growing season. A mild summer yielded grapes of wonderful balance with rich tannins and bright varietal characteristics. Harvest was completed in early October. Winemakers Notes This wine is composed of primarily Zinfandel, blended with small amounts of Carignane and Petit Sirah. Upon entering the winery, the hand-harvested grapes were destemmed, hand sorted and then whole berries were fermented in tank before pressing.
