Spring Special!
The 2006 Villa Fiore "Fior di Moscato" is a slightly sweet wine (5% residual sugar) from the Russian River Valley available only from our tasting room and on line. Captivating floral and spice aromas are complemented by crisp, light flavors of peach, pear and honey with perfectly balanced acidity, making this a delicious wine as an aperitif or as an accompaniment to dessert.
Vintage Notes
The Muscat Canelli and Muscat Giallo fruit for this wine comes from fog-cooled vineyards in the Russian River Valley, an area known for producing some of the world’s best white wines. A mild late spring and summer ensured a healthy canopy, which provided the perfect combination of sunlight and heat penetrating the grape clusters. These conditions allowed the grapes to reach full maturity in both flavor and structure. Harvest was completed in early September.
Winemakers Notes
When the hand-harvested grapes arrived at the winery, each lot was gently whole cluster pressed and then moved directly to stainless steel tanks for cold fermentation. The cold fermentation helps preserve the fresh fruit character of the wine. The wine developed in 100% stainless steel, resulting in a wine with bright flavors and crisp acidity.

Rhonda's Recipe and Pairing Notes
Smoked Chicken Risotto
A food-friendly wine, our Pinot Noir pairs nicely with heavier fish dishes such as salmon, and is also delicious with turkey, light meats such as veal, and mushrooms. It also works well with higher acid dishes, such as those with balsamic vinaigrette, soy sauce or lemon.
